Protein French Toast

This french toast recipe is to die for! Loaded with protein without any of the carbs or fat, this one is truly my favorite creation. If you crave a sweet stack in the morning but don't love the blood sugar spike- this recipe is IT.

Ingredients

• 1 cup Egg White Powder (not protein powder)

• 1/4 cup water

• 1/4 cup French Toast Jordans Skinny Syrul (or liquid sweetener of choice, just make sure to dilute if using maple syrup/honey/etc)

• 1/4 tsp xanthan gum

• 1/2 tsp baking powder

• 1/4 cup 2% Fage Greek Yogurt (any greek yogurt works)

• 60g Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk

• 40g Liquid Egg Whites

• 5g Vanilla Extract

*optional - Non Fat Greek Yogurt, Walden Farms 0 calorie Pancake Syrup and cinnamon on top!

Directions

BREAD:

1. In a bowl, combine dry ingredients. Then add in water and liquid sweetener and use electric hand whisk to whip the ingredients together

2. Gently fold in greek yogurt, being careful not to over mix/mix aggressively.

3. Add doughy to bread pan and set in oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

4. Once bread is baked, remove from oven and let rest for 2-3 hours.

5. Once the loaf has cooled, you can slice in half for FRENCH TOAST recipe.

FRENCH TOAST:

1. In a bowl, whisk together liquid egg whites, almond milk and vanilla extract.

2. Use half French Toast Loaf and cut into thick slices.

3. Soak each piece thoroughly in egg wash, then add to skillet on medium heat.

4. Let cook for 1-2 min on each side (this may vary depending on thickness of slices), then remove from pan.

5. Top with desired toppings and ENJOY!
